Wellington, Florida – This January 30th, 2026, media are gathering at Wellington-based International Polo Tour® (IPT) during kick off the Florida polo season with a VIP-only celebration bringing together key sports players, celebrities, innovators, and luxury all in support of long-time partner We Will Survive Cancer (WWSC).
“January is an eternal symbol of renewal and hope- we’re bringing that sentiment to polo lovers across Florida, showing them what they can expect to see and more as an entire new year of matches begins,” said Tareq Salahi, Chairman and Team Captain of the IPT. “We’re excited to come together as a community, all while reminding people of how their support helps not just us, but people fighting to overcome illnesses.”
Just off the heels of the IPT’s record-setting voyage to Antarctica (which included the world’s first ever foot polo match in the region), the team is further embodying the sport’s culture of luxury, innovation, and creativity, especially in light of their recently-announced partnership with the Royal Thai Embassy and His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Suriya Chindawongse.
Attendees can expect an immersive ‘Thailand Casino Spectacular’ complete with luxurious raffles, vibrant performances, and international flair, generating excitement for the IPT’s momentum into the New Year. Thailand will be an essential part of 2026’s Sunset Polo™ in Virginia, honoring diversity, international connection, and the U.S.’s own 250th birthday.
Additionally, the event will welcome impressive athletes like Tim Johnson and Josh Norman of the NFL, as well as influential South Florida sustainability leader Jeff Szur, Founder & COO of Atmospheric Water Generator Altitude Water providing purified water, and actor and producer Bruce ‘Busta’ Soscia, Founder, The FiiXX Foundation whose know for roles in films such as Dog Gone, Clean, and MobKing.
