This past weekend, Wellington-based International Polo Tour® commemorated the official start of Florida’s polo season with its annual VIP celebration alongside long-time partner We Will Survive Cancer (WWSC). The evening welcomed celebrities, community builders, and sports lovers uplifting appreciation for both U.S. and international culture.
Held at the equestrian estate private home of IPT Chairman Tareq Salahi, Friday night embodied the true meaning of modern luxury with guests dressed to the nines sampling high-quality spreads and beverages (including a newly-debuted line of tequila and vodka produced by the IPT in partnership with Muscle Vodka as well as rum provided by Noxx&Dunn Florida Rum). Embracing an immersive White Lotus/Thailand Casino Spectacular theme, the night spotlighted the IPT’s recently-announced partnership with the Royal Thai Embassy and His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, a connection that will play a key role in September’s Sunset Polo match amplifying the importance of cultural exchange and unity. The IPT also released the new White Lotus cruise and details are now available on:https://www.hotelsatsea.com/white-lotus-cruise.html
Also in attendance were NFL athletes Tim Johnson and Josh Norman, who have previously vocalized their support for polo and the IPT’s global initiatives, actor and producer Bruce ‘Busta’ Soscia, The FiiXX Foundation Founder whose known for roles in films such as Dog Gone, Clean, and MobKing, Hollywood actor Kevin Sorbo and actress Sam Sorbo, as well as South Florida sustainability leader Jeff Szur, Founder & COO of Atmospheric Water Generator manufacturer Altitude Water and guest on the upcoming season premiere of The Fish Guyz: Lures to Legends who provided purified water to guests.
“I am very grateful for all of the support we have received,” said Salahi. “This celebration was one we were incredibly excited to bring to life and, as America’s 250th birthday approaches, we are honored for the opportunity to express our love for our country and for the centuries of culture and connection that have been built abroad. Polo, as a sport, has unified so many and we will continue sharing that message well into the future.”
Following luxurious raffles and mingling, the IPT team brought everyone together for a special exclusive announcement impacting the future of polo across South Florida – the development of an official indoor arena polo stadium AND educational & cultural center. International Polo Tour Stadium is a facility that will combine sports, equestrian, tourism and community needs while emphasizing green-space preservation and thoughtful use of land that supports Palm Beach County’s coastal and community character.
The center will also work directly with community leaders in Palm Beach County hosting professional arena polo matches representing varies states & cities across america throughout the year, developing youth and adult equestrian instruction to share wider appreciation for the sport, provide equine wellness and horsemanship programs and traditional educational clinics and school partnerships, celebrate Florida’s rich heritage in equestrian traditions, and host charitable events that support the IPT’s long-time partners.
Salahi added, “This project has been years in the making, and we’re excited to finally open it to our supporters, sponsors and founding hospitality suite partners. The future of the International Polo Tour is strong, and this stadium creates a rare opportunity to be part of something lasting — not just to attend, but to belong — while helping elevate Florida’s communities through world-class sport & cultural events.”
Contributions from the evening went directly to WWSC aiding in their mission to help families battling cancer while also funding global projects such as those with Thailand.

Boca Raton, Fla. (February 9, 2026) — The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County welcomed nearly 500 women to its Lion of Judah Luncheon on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, for an inspiring afternoon of conversation, connection, and collective purpose. The sold-out event, themed “Strength in Sisterhood: The Timeless Power of Women’s Leadership,” celebrated the extraordinary impact women have in shaping the Jewish future locally, in Israel, and around the world.

The luncheon featured a powerful lineup of thought leaders, including Dr. Mijal Bitton, spiritual leader, community builder, and sociologist; Alana Newhouse, Editor-in-Chief of Tablet Magazine; and special guest Julie Platt, immediate past Chair of the Board of the Jewish Federations of North America. The discussion was moderated by Michelle Rojas-Tal, Director of Strategy at Sixpoint Media, and explored the enduring influence of women’s leadership, the responsibility of philanthropy, and the role of Jewish women in shaping the next generation.

“This year’s Lion of Judah Luncheon was a testament to what is possible when women come together with shared purpose and conviction,” said Shelly Snyder, Chair of Women’s Philanthropy. “Seeing almost 500 women in one room, our largest gathering ever, was both humbling and energizing. The strength of this community is extraordinary.”

The event was co-chaired by Kathy Green and Alison Simon, with Amy Dweck serving as Vice Chair, Campaign, Women’s Philanthropy. Together, they helped lead a luncheon that not only inspired but also reinforced the critical importance of women’s philanthropy in sustaining and strengthening the Jewish community.

“Lion of Judah women are leaders, changemakers, and visionaries,” said Kathy Green. “This luncheon reflected the power of women standing together, supporting one another, and investing in the future of Jewish life.”

“From the speakers to the energy in the room, this was a truly unforgettable afternoon,” added Alison Simon. “It reminded us that our collective impact is far greater than anything we can achieve alone.”

Attendance at the Lion of Judah Luncheon requires a minimum individual woman’s gift of $5,000 to the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s 2026 Annual Campaign, underscoring the extraordinary philanthropic commitment of the women in the room.

About Children’s Harbor

Established in 1996, Children’s Harbor is a nationally accredited child welfare organization with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in our community, while providing safe shelter and support to teens in foster care so that they may grow into healthy, educated, and productive adults.

With the belief that children should feel safe, that family is worth fighting for, and that cycles can be broken, Children’s Harbor provides a harbor of hope and healing for children who have been impacted by the trauma of child abuse.  The main campus in Pembroke Pines provides a supportive family environment for teenagers in foster care and their younger siblings. The family support services program prevents kids from coming into foster care by providing free in-home counseling and support to families who are struggling in the community. Additionally, Brown’s Harbor is a supportive housing community dedicated to serving young adults, aged 18-23, who have aged out of the foster care system.  These young adults are provided with affordable housing and the wrap-around support and independent living programs necessary to help them overcome their trauma and navigate through the early stages of adulthood.

With generosity from Citizens, Pace Palm Beach will expand its College and Career Readiness Program, designed to prepare girls for life after high school through individualized guidance, skill-building workshops, and hands-on learning experiences. The program helps girls explore career pathways, set educational goals, and develop the confidence needed to pursue college, vocational training, or employment opportunities. Funding from the grant will support resources such as career exploration materials, college preparation tools, and mentorship opportunities with local professionals. This investment from Citizens will empower girls at Pace Palm Beach to envision brighter futures, achieve independence, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

“We are deeply grateful to Citizens Financial Group for this generous support,” said Mindy Hanken, Executive Director of Pace Palm Beach. “This grant strengthens our College and Career Readiness Program, giving our girls the tools and confidence they need to plan for their futures and pursue their dreams. In honor of this milestone, Citizens colleagues brought their community commitment to life by volunteering their time to lead financial literacy sessions with Pace students, focusing on real-life spending decisions and budgeting. This partnership reflects a shared goal of creating brighter, more equitable futures for young women in Palm Beach County and beyond.

“We’re thrilled to have opened our doors to our new private banking office and be able to welcome the community into a modern, thoughtfully designed space that reflects our commitment to meeting clients’ unique needs,” said James Meany, Executive Managing Director at Citizens Private Bank. “Palm Beach is truly special. Our team has deep roots in this community, and we’re profoundly grateful to our clients who have entrusted us with guiding their personal finances and businesses over the years. It’s a privilege to give back to a place that has given us so much.”

This grant is part of Citizens’ broader commitment to building the workforce of the future—one that is inclusive, resilient, and prepared for the evolving demands of the economy. This year, Citizens pledged a $20 million, three-year commitment to supporting workforce development programs nationwide, expanding access to upskilling, digital fluency, and career pathways that prepare individuals for both today’s opportunities and tomorrow’s innovations.

Khanna House Studios’ Comedy Night Sold Out, Headlined by National Standout Gerard Michaels

Wellington, FL – Khanna House Studios was filled with laughter Saturday night as a sold-out crowd packed the studio for a standout Comedy Night headlined by national comedian Gerard Michaels, marking a major milestone in the studio’s growing live-event programming. Michaels, who was also a recent guest on studio founder Julie Khanna’s podcast We Just Met, brought both national recognition and a familiar presence to the Khanna House stage.

This event marked the first time Khanna House Studios had hosted a national headliner since beginning its comedy series, and the energy in the room reflected the significance of the moment. Michaels, a regular performer at Joe Rogan’s Comedy Mothership, delivered a high-impact set that anchored the night and kept the audience engaged from start to finish.

Gerard Michaels is widely known for his work as a writer and actor on Blaze TV’s sketch show Normal World, his frequent appearances on the PBD Podcast, and his popular podcast Slick & Thick with UFC fighter Mickey Gall. In addition to comedy and podcasting, Michaels has acted in and directed projects, including the mini-series Mafia States of America, featuring Patrick Bet-David, Sammy “The Bull” Gravano, Michael Franzese, Rudy Giuliani, and Chazz Palminteri. With over 300,000 social media followers and more than 500 million views across platforms, Michaels brought national-level momentum to the studio, which was strengthened by his prior appearance on Khanna’s We Just Met podcast.

The evening also featured a strong, supportive lineup. Kristi Fioravanti impressed with her sharp observations and magnetic delivery, turning everyday experiences into laugh-out-loud moments. Jenny Baitch connected deeply with the crowd through her raw, relatable storytelling, blending dark humor, pop-up culture nostalgia, and personal insight. Rounding out the night were Sean Paul and Vladi Yurovsky, South Florida favorites who brought fast-paced energy and crowd-pleasing humor.

“This night was hysterically incredible,” said Julie Khanna, Owner and Founder of Khanna House Studios. “The response confirmed that there is a real appetite for high-quality live comedy in an intimate creative space–and this is just the beginning!”

Khanna House Studios is a full-service production studio offering on-location and in-house videography, podcasting, content creation, and social media management.
