Week 2 of the 2026 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) delivered one of its first themed evenings as Country Western Night took center stage during the popular Saturday Night Lights series at Wellington International.
Country Western Night featured the $140,000 Palm Beach County Sports Commission CSI3 Grand Prix*, offering spectators the chance to watch elite show jumping under the lights in an accessible setting. While the evening felt festive and casual, the level of competition remained top-tier, highlighting the depth of international talent competing throughout the 13-week circuit.
Taking top prize and also his first win at WEF was Spain’s Gonzalo Busca Roca and his amazing horse Christiano Obolensky. And the crowd roared with excitement as Tanner Korotkin riding Kinmare Quality Hero and Marilyn Little on her gorgeous horse La Contessa gave the ultimate showdown for second place- ending in a tie.
Country Western Night is one of several themed evenings featured throughout this year’s Winter Equestrian Festival’s Saturday Night Lights lineup.
The upcoming themed nights are as follows- 1/17:Family Night, 1/24: Military and First Responder Appreciation Night, 1/31 the amazing Great Charity Challenge, 3/14: ABBA Night and 3/21 theme is for Fan Appreciation Night. The final SNL on 3/28 will be the grandest of all SNLs –Rolex US Equestrian Open Grand Prix.
