Boca West Children’s Foundation & Boca West Country Club Teach Local Underserved Kids the Joys of Pickleball

Written By:

Boca West Children’s Foundation and Boca West Country Club are holding a Pickleball camp for 60 local children from Fuller Center this week.  Volunteer coaches and members of Boca West Country Club have been introducing the children to one of America’s fastest-growing sports while providing a safe, supportive, and engaging summer experience. The camp is being held Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17, 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Boca West Country Club, 20583 Boca West Drive, Boca Raton.  The camp is taking place at Boca West’s new $20 million, Racquets Facility featuring a new Pickleball Center with 12 covered courts.

Throughout the week, the children receive instruction from volunteer coaches and Boca West Country Club members while learning pickleball fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and healthy habits. The week also includes games, prizes, a talent show, medals, and recognition for every participant. For many of the children, this is an opportunity they would not otherwise have during the summer months. Each camper receives sneakers, athletic socks, a camp t-shirt, hat, backpack, water bottle and lunch daily.
