Space of Mind Partners with North Star Leaning Villages Inc., a Child Provider Specialists company, for its Bridges Program Which Offers Customized Learning Programs Tailored to Each Student’s Individualized Needs

Space of Mind (SOM), in partnership with North Star Learning Villages Inc., has just launched the Bridges Academy Program as a satellite offering on their Delray Beach campus. Families will now have access to personalized academic interventions for students enrolled at SOM. The program, already established at Child Provider Specialist’s Weston and Naples campuses, is designed to support kids whose academic progress is being hindered by underlying cognitive, neurological or skill-based challenges.

It will be a “school-within-a-school” or intensive “boot camp” program, where each participant receives a customized intervention plan based on comprehensive evaluation and performance data.

On August 28th at 1:30 p.m., parents and students are invited to hear a presentation about the new program. Sign up here:

This program is designed for students who have difficulty with attention, executive functioning, working memory, processing speed, reading, emotional regulation, behavioral regulation, organization or other learning-related skills. It is also appropriate for students who have existing neuropsychological evaluations, diagnosed learning differences, dyslexia, ADHD, executive functioning challenges or language-based learning difficulties.

“One of the most exciting aspects of this partnership is that these interventions can be integrated directly into our school day,” said Ali Kaufman, Founder of Space of Mind. “Rather than adding more appointments to a family’s already busy schedule, students can receive targeted support, while remaining connected to their peers, teachers and the broader Space of Mind community.”

Dr. Rizzo’s philosophy is that no child should have to endure the journey toward adulthood that he took. By specializing in the cutting edge science of the brain, he has dedicated his life to ensuring that he, and those he mentored, prevent this for as many children as they can.

A portion of each day will consist of structured prescriptive intervention, some in small groups and some individually. Intervention areas include sensorimotor training (comparable to occupational therapy), cognitive remediation, targeted academic instruction with highly specialized teachers and executive functioning strategies.

Unlike traditional tutoring, which often focuses on academic content alone, these services are designed to strengthen the underlying cognitive, behavioral and self-regulation skills that impact a student’s ability to learn, stay engaged, build confidence and succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Each participating student will receive an individualized intervention plan based on their unique strengths, challenges, goals and learning profile. The  goal is not simply to improve academic performance but to help students develop the skills that make learning more accessible and sustainable. Skills developed will include sustained attention, organization, self-management, emotional resilience, problem-solving, follow-through and independence.
