Felicity Biggans Introduces “PickleBall Girl” at Private Wellington Event

Written By:

Designer and entrepreneur Felicity Biggans introduced her newest brand, PickleBall Girl, during a private launch event held at Khanna House Studios in Wellington.

The gathering brought together a select group of local supporters, creatives and community members for a first look at the brand, which reflects the growing popularity of pickleball and its strong female following.

PickleBall Girl is the latest addition to Biggans’ collection of sports-inspired lifestyle brands, including Polo Girl, Equestrian Girl, Golf Girl, Tennis Girl, Soccer Girl, Polo Baby and Men’s High Goal Polo. Each brand centers on a consistent idea that has defined her work from the beginning: creating female representation in sports fashion.Photo credit: Khanna House Studios

That idea started while Biggans was studying in London.

“I was walking past polo fields and noticed women players wearing logos with male athletes,” Biggans said. “It didn’t make sense to me. I designed a female polo player so women could see themselves represented. That has stayed with me ever since. PickleBall Girl is a continuation of that vision.”

The brand distinguishes itself in the pickleball space by featuring a female athlete at the center of its identity, something Biggans says is still largely missing in the market. The message behind the brand focuses on confidence, strength and a sense of fun that reflects the spirit of the sport.

Guests at the event offered feedback and support as Biggans prepares for a broader rollout.

Biggans brings extensive industry experience to her work. She spent 15 years working with Ralph Lauren’s design collection team, where she contributed to building the brand’s archives. She is also recognized as the first woman to trademark a female sports player logo across multiple fashion and lifestyle brands through the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

For Biggans, the mission remains straightforward.

“I’ve always wanted to create something women and girls can relate to and feel proud to wear,” she said. “This brand is about showing up as yourself and enjoying the game.”
