Michelle McGann, Dr. Faustino Gonzalez and Admirals Cove Foundation to Be Recognized for Significant Works in Community

West Palm Beach, Florida – On Friday, December 5th, Clinics Can Help (CCH) and its heartfelt base of advocates and supporters will gather for the 4th Annual Cribs for Kids Luncheon. Led by Emmy award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien as the 2025 speaker, the event will spur funding, collect resources, and build awareness about CCH’s most precious clients: newborns and infants who need a safe place to sleep.

While gathering at Downtown West Palm Beach’s, The Ben, three special recipients will also be honored for their work and the ways they impact the lives of Palm Beach County children and their families. Like CCH, which provides refurbished durable medical equipment and supplies to all who are in need, these three deserving honorees — Dr. Faustino Gonzalez, Michelle McGann, and the Admirals Cove Foundation — all serve the residents of our community in unique ways.

Internal Medicine specialist Dr. Faustino Gonzalez was instrumental in helping CCH’s president and CEO, Owen O’Neill, co-found and launch CCH. He has remained involved in the organization since. Board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Gonzalez was recognized by the Palm Beach County Medical Society with awards such as the Healthcare Educator in 2018 and the Physician Hero in 2023. He has served as Associate Medical Director at Trustbridge since 2001 and remains on its board of directors. He is currently the Associate Program Director of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program at Trustbridge, affiliated with HCA/JFK Hospital in Atlantis, Florida. Dr. Gonzalez is also a member of the board of the Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, which has honored him by creating a scholarship in his name.

The Admirals Cove Foundation (ACF) has been key in the formation of the Cribs for Kids project and has helped CCH donate an average of 1,100 cribs per year. ACF exists to improve lives in northern Palm Beach County and to strengthen the community through its shared culture of giving. Through ACF’s annual Season of Giving campaign, the Foundation’s efforts are focused exclusively on the areas of education, health, and social services. These pillars guide ACF’s funding decisions and its commitment to building a healthier, more resilient region. The mission of ACF reflects a vibrant tradition of philanthropy that mirrors the exceptional quality of life its residents enjoy.

Recognized as one of the most popular personalities in women’s golf for over 30 years, Michelle McGann’s personal joy comes from meeting new people of all ages who love the game of golf like she does. McGann joined the LPGA in 1989. She went on to win nine times as a professional and was a two-time Solheim team member. McGann began playing golf at seven years old and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 13. With the help of her family, Michelle successfully managed her disease and went on to become a three-time Florida State Junior Champion. In 1987, she was recognized as USGA Junior Girls Champion, GOLF Magazine’s and GOLF Digest’s Amateur of the Year, the AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year, and Rolex Junior First-Team All-American. In 1988, she captured the Doherty Cup Championship title and played in the U.S. Women’s Open and Boston Five Classic as an amateur. Her Michelle McGann Fund receives donations and awards grants to further juvenile diabetes management in three areas: awareness, education, and support. The mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle now and in the future for individuals and families dealing with a new diagnosis.

For the event, The Ben will transform into a winter wonderland while guests get a head start on their holiday shopping with a dozen local vendors and an expansive silent auction filled with highly sought after items. Following is a chef-curated lunch and an opportunity to learn first-hand about the nonprofit’s work, as a personal client shares how a simple crib transformed their child’s life.

This year, the organization is proud to announce that Emmy award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien will lend her voice to the event as speaker. O’Brien is an award-winning journalist, philanthropist, and founder of Soledad O’Brien Productions, a media production company dedicated to telling empowering and authentic stories on a range of social issues. O’Brien’s work has been recognized with ten Emmy awards, three George Foster Peabody Awards, and many others. Her passion for supporting young people is realized by way of her foundation, PowHERful, which has helped dozens of young women get to and through college. Soledad lives between New York City and West Palm Beach with her husband Brad, and her four children.

Monies raised during the event support Clinics Can Help’s CRIBS Project, which provides sleep safe cribs for mothers in need.

CCH wishes to thank its generous event sponsors, including Platinum Sponsor, The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department, Gold Sponsors Legal Graphics Works and the Mastroianni Family, and Silver Sponsors Lesser, Landy, Smith and Siegel, PLLC, and Horizon Care Services.
