Boca Helping Hands (BHH), in collaboration with Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Athletics and Cereal4All will commemorate September’s Hunger Action Month with the 5th Annual Tackle Hunger. The cereal drive will be held in conjunction with the FAU-FIU game on Saturday, September 19, at 6 p.m. at Flagler Credit Union Stadium at FAU.
Every box of cereal donated that day gets the donor one free ticket to a future FAU home game. In addition, a portion of every ticket sold through this link will benefit Boca Helping Hands: https://www.gofevo.com/event/
“Cereal is one of the least donated items to Boca Helping Hands, which means underserved kids and families do not always get to start their day with a nutritious breakfast,” Andrew Hagen, CEO of Boca Helping Hands.
BHH volunteers can receive a free ticket to this game using a special discount code at checkout. Volunteers can email Erika@bocahelpinghands.org for the volunteer discount code. Plus, volunteers will be recognized during a special on-field segment during the game!
Robes Law is a new FAU Owls sponsor, and as part of its partnership, they will serve as the Title Sponsor for Robes Law Tackle Hunger, Tackle for a Loss campaign. For each Owls Tackle for a Loss this season, Robes Law will donate $26 to Boca Helping Hands. (The Owls are playing their 26th season of football). Robes will also be the official game sponsor for the FAU-FIU match-up.
Cereal4All was started by 18-year-old twin brothers Jett and Luke Justin of Boca Raton when they were just eight years old. After volunteering at Boca Helping Hands, Jett and Luke organized their first cereal drive for BHH at their elementary school in 2016. Over the past ten years, the boys have expanded the program across Palm Beach County and the nation.
