Excitement filled The Wanderers Club on Monday evening as Wellington’s renowned equestrian and philanthropist, Jackie Ducci, and director Don Hardy took center stage to host the first exclusive premiere of the documentary, Unspoken Bond.

The special event brought together the film’s creative team, cast, and supporters to celebrate not only the documentary’s debut, but also the powerful connection between humans and animals that define its story.

Ducci and Hardy were joined by the film’s featured subjects, such as combat veteran Jason Gaver, Wellington’s dressage rider Shannon Dueck, and Nicole Navarro, founder of Pawsitive Beginnings Fox Sanctuary. The group took the time to greet guests, pose for photos, and share insight into their personal journeys, as well as what audiences could expect before watching the movie.

Before the film started, Ducci and Hardy thanked the audience for their support and emphasized the beauty and significance between the human and animal bond, highlighting how it can shape lives for the better. Ducci stated, “I’m a huge believer in the power animals have to make our lives better. They can change lives and they can save lives. This is something that not only I have experienced, but I’ve witnessed countless other people experience the same. These bonds are very real, deep, and meaningful.”

Hardy expressed his pride in the film and how it was created with a lot of heart. Together, their words set the tone for a film that is both emotional and inspiring.

As the lights dimmed, the audience embarked on a journey through the perspectives of Jason Gaver, Nicole Navarro, and Shannon Dueck. Their experiences illustrate how the human-animal bond can shape, heal, and transform the lives for both humans and the animals. The film highlights the power of healing, resilience, and companionship from the human-animal bond. For each individual, animals played a pivotal role during times of hardship.

In Navarro’s segment, she opens up about facing her own personal struggles, and how she found healing from caring for animals during a difficult time. She highlighted how the bonds she made with the animals gave her a purpose, which ultimately led her to open a fox sanctuary called Pawsitive Beginnings.

Gaver took the audience through his journey with his service dog, Woodrow. Their story illustrates how Woodrow provides Gaver mental and emotional support, as well as a renewed sense of purpose. Gaver was transparent about how Woodrow helps him cope with lasting effects of military service, as well as reclaiming his role as a father. From watching Gaver’s segment, it is evident that their bond provides stability and a sense of connection.

Viewers also got to experience how dressage rider, Shannon Dueck’s bond with her Grand Prix horse, Angelika, went beyond partnership in her sport. Together, they shared a love for one another and relied on each other’s presence and trust. Dueck explains how she and Angelika mirrored each other. They knew how to tend to one another during times of joy, fear, and sadness. The film captured the heartbreak of Angelika’s passing and how Dueck was able to navigate through the loss, while keeping her companion’s memory alive.

There was a mix of tears, laughter, and smiles throughout the theater. The crowd was visibly moved by the raw experiences shared in the film. At the same time, they were overcome with joy and hope. It was truly inspiring to see how Gaver, Navarro, and Dueck overcame their challenges through their own strength, and with the love and connection given to them by their animals.

The movie was a true testament of how the human-animal connection is just as important as the human connection. The film gives validation for anyone who has a bond with an animal, whether it be a pet or animals they work with. Anyone who may not have a personal bond with an animal, will definitely want to experience it after watching Unspoken Bond. Animals provide a unique yet special kind of love. They don’t judge. They just love you unconditionally no matter who you are, where you come from, and what you have been through.

WBC Productions Wellington FL — Educational Documentary Storytelling

By any measure, Now We Know! arrives at exactly the right moment. In a media landscape saturated with fast content, algorithmic noise, and surface-level explanations, the series offers something increasingly rare: thoughtful, curiosity-driven storytelling that gives audiences real insights into the organizations shaping the world around them.

At the helm is Will Barnes, Executive Producer and founder of WBC Productions, whose passion for educational storytelling spans more than two decades. With Now We Know!, Barnes set out to create a series that informs without condescension, engages without gimmicks, and elevates both the subject matter and the people behind it.

Will Barnes, Founder & Owner of WBC Productions

“The idea was to create a format that serves everyone involved,” Barnes explains. “The organizations, the audience, and the story itself.” Having seen firsthand how powerful educational storytelling can be when it’s done well, Barnes envisioned a platform that allows organizations to share what they do—and why it matters—in a way that feels credible, meaningful, and accessible.

That philosophy sits squarely at the core of WBC Productions. Known for its narrative craftsman and high production standards, the company has built a reputation for making people feel comfortable on camera which is an essential ingredient for authentic storytelling. “We firmly believe that when people feel at ease, the message comes through more clearly,” Barnes says. “That’s when real connection happens.”

On set with WBC Productions; Filming “Now We Know!”

It was also a response to what Barnes saw as a gap in the marketplace. “We’ve seen some low quality projects on television,” he notes. “We knew that exceptional quality could raise the bar in this space — and that felt like our responsibility.”

A key element in bringing Now We Know! to life was finding the right host, someone capable of connecting with audiences across backgrounds and interests. The choice, Barnes says, was obvious.

“When we were looking for a host who could connect with everybody, we instantly thought of Steve Guttenberg.” The legendary actor brings a unique blend of warmth, charisma, and genuine curiosity to the program. “He is also just an exceptional human being,” Barnes adds. “Seeing how he stepped up during the Palisades fires in California really reinforced that. His sincerity comes through in every episode. Everybody loves Steve!”

For first-time viewers, the goal of Now We Know! is simple but ambitious: education, first and foremost. Each episode introduces new topics in an engaging, approachable way, offering viewers a deeper understanding of industries and organizations that quietly influence everyday life. “Our world is constantly changing,” Barnes says, “and organizations are shaping that change. It’s important for the public to understand these topics beyond the small glimpses they get on social media.”

That depth is precisely why the show is resonating so strongly right now. As Barnes sees it, audiences are craving authenticity. “In a landscape dominated by AI and algorithm-driven content, it’s become harder to hear directly from real experts,” he explains. Now We Know! creates space for industry leaders to speak in their own words, without filters—and that direct connection is powerful.

The audience response has exceeded expectations. Barnes admits he’s been overwhelmed by how well the series has been received, particularly given past attempts by other programs to tackle similar concepts. “What’s been most rewarding is the level of engagement from both viewers and participants,” he says. “There’s real enthusiasm and growing demand for this kind of content.”

For Barnes, the success of Now We Know! is also deeply personal. Educational storytelling has been a through-line since his first documentary over 20 years ago, and the series reflects a broader vision shaped by years of experience. “I’ve gained insight into how many industries quietly shape our everyday lives,” he says. “I’ve been fortunate to have that perspective, and this show is about sharing it with a wider audience in a compelling, approachable way.”

Bringing the series to life wasn’t without challenges. Barnes notes that the industry can carry misconceptions, with high-quality productions sometimes unfairly grouped alongside less credible projects. “We’re a team of seasoned creative producers with decades of experience,” he says. “These projects deliver real value, but because the quality and reach are so strong, some organizations initially think it sounds too good to be true.” The lesson, he adds, has been the importance of transparency, trust, and long-term partnership.

What truly sets Now We Know! apart is WBC Productions’ end-to-end involvement. From production through distribution, the team maintains full oversight, ensuring both quality and reach. The relationships don’t end when filming wraps. “Many of our partnerships are long-term,” Barnes says. “We take pride in growing alongside the organizations we work with.”

As for what’s next, the momentum shows no signs of slowing. Demand for Now We Know! currently exceeds capacity, which is a challenge Barnes embraces with careful optimism. “We’re focused on scaling thoughtfully,” he says, “so we can tell more stories without compromising quality.”

In an era hungry for substance, Now We Know! stands as a reminder that education, when paired with authenticity and craftsmanship, doesn’t just inform—it inspires. And for Will Barnes and WBC Productions, that’s exactly the point.

The event will mark the first USPA affiliated professional arena money tournament in Florida since the gladiators games, marking a historic evening that the IPT Hotels at Sea is an official sponsor of.
Scoring 18 goals the IPT Hotels at Sea Team fought valiantly, putting their teamwork and strength at the forefront to move to the next stage. Team Captain Tareq Salahi scored 5 goals (4 standard, 1 penalty), while MVP Hardy Pemberton scored 6 goals and Marcos Bignoli another 6 (with two being double pointers). Against a fan filled stadium, the squad celebrated their victory, remaining undefeated across several matches.
“The stage is set for an incredible final, and we’re ready to give the fans a championship match they’ll never forget,” said Salahi.

Wellington Regional Medical Center Achieves 2026 Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award

Wellington, FL – March 10, 2026 – Wellington Regional Medical Center announced today that it has achieved the 2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ from Healthgrades, the #1 site Americans use to find a doctor or hospital. This award reflects Wellington Regional Medical Center’s commitment to safe, patient-centered care and puts the organization in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide for patient safety the second year in a row (2025-2026).

Pam Tahan, CEO of Wellington Regional Medical Center, expressed her pride in the achievement:

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team. We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care, and this award reinforces our efforts and the positive impact we are making in our community.”

Wellington Regional Medical Center’s achievement is based solely on what matters most: patient outcomes. To determine the national leaders in patient safety, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted complication and mortality rates from approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide across 13 patient safety indicators (PSIs), with each PSI representing a serious, preventable complication.

Healthgrades’ annual analysis revealed significant performance gaps between the nation’s highest-and lowest-achieving facilities, making it increasingly important for consumers to seek care at a hospital with top safety ratings. During the 2022-2024 study period, 167,228 preventable safety events occurred among Medicare patients at U.S. hospitals, with four PSIs accounting for nearly 78% of all incidents. Patients treated at Wellington Regional Medical Center and other award-winning facilities had a profoundly lower risk of experiencing these leading complications:

  • In-hospital fall resulting in fracture (52.4% less likely)
  • Collapsed lung due to a procedure in or around the chest (57.5% less likely)
  • Catheter-related bloodstream infections acquired in the hospital (67.8% less likely)
  • Pressure sores or bed sores acquired in the hospital (71.9% less likely)

“The data behind this year’s Patient Safety Excellence Award highlights how measurable improvements in safety can prevent thousands of complications,” said Dr. Alana Biggers, MPH, medical advisor at Healthgrades. “By prioritizing evidence-based safety practices, Wellington Regional Medical Center is achieving better clinical outcomes and cultivating a culture where patients come first.”

Where you’re treated matters, which is why Healthgrades is committed to providing the most scientifically accurate information about doctors and hospitals–with data insights not available anywhere else. For additional guidance on finding safe, high-quality care in 2026, visit healthgrades.com.

*Statistics are calculated from Healthgrades’ Patient Safety Excellence Award Methodology, which is based primarily on AHRQ technical specifications (Version 2025.0.1) to MedPAR data from approximately 4,500 hospitals for years 2022 through 2024 and represent three-year estimates for Medicare patients only.

The event began with a 90-minute Coaches Education Workshop, equipping local coaches and recreation leaders with tools that use soccer as a platform for mentorship, inclusion, and life-skills development. Youth participants later took the field for a free clinic focused on skill-building, teamwork, and positive mentorship, expanding access to structured play opportunities within the community.

“This initiative reflects our shared commitment to strengthening opportunity at the neighborhood level,” said Commissioner Bermudez. “By combining sport, education, and health resources, we are investing in our families today while preparing for the global spotlight of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.”

The activation was delivered in collaboration with FĂştbol Con CorazĂłn, further strengthening community-based engagement across District 12.

“Access to play and the leadership of coaches matter now more than ever,” said Danielle Dubuc Wightman, Executive Director of FCC USA (Fútbol con Corazón). “Through soccer, we create spaces where children experience belonging, mentorship, and joy. Those experiences help shape young people into healthy, engaged, and productive members of their communities.”

Health & Wellness Integration

In partnership with Banyan Community Health, the clinic featured a mobile health unit offering free screenings for youth and families, including depression screenings, BMI measurements, glucose testing, and additional wellness services.

By integrating health services into youth soccer programming, the Host Committee initiative reinforces its commitment to long-term community well-being alongside athletic development.

Community Partnerships Driving Impact

Additional announcements regarding community programming and legacy initiatives will be shared in the coming months.

A Legacy for Miami

The ONE GAME ONE FUTURE platform anchors the Miami Host Committee’s legacy strategy under three pillars:

• Access to Soccer

• Sustainability

• Community Impact

Through community clinics, coach education, integrated wellness services, and investments in safe play spaces, the initiative ensures that the benefits of hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026™ extend well beyond the tournament itself, creating lasting opportunities for communities across Miami-Dade County.

Additional ONE GAME ONE FUTURE announcements regarding community and legacy initiatives will be shared in the coming months as the Miami Host Committee continues preparations to welcome the world in 2026.

Pace Center for Girls Palm Beach Hosts Inspiring Women’s Panel in Celebration of Women’s History Month

Palm Springs, FL – Pace Center for Girls Palm Beach proudly hosted a dynamic Women’s Speaking Panel on Tuesday, March 3, in honor of Women’s History Month. The event, held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., brought together three accomplished local leaders who shared their professional journeys and personal testimonies of resilience, courage, and determination with Pace girls.

The panel featured Chevelle Young, Real Estate Advisor; Denise Torres, visionary Founder and CEO of Chic Wig Boutique in West Palm Beach; and Julie Khanna, media professional, journalist, educator, and Founder of Khanna House Studios and Khanna Connections.

Facilitated by Pace leadership, the discussion centered on key questions designed to inspire and empower, including why each woman chose her profession, how being a woman has influenced her career path, moments where they had to exhibit courage, and the values that guide their leadership.

Each speaker offered heartfelt reflections on overcoming obstacles and refusing to allow setbacks to define their futures. From navigating relocation and leadership roles in competitive industries, to rebuilding after personal hardships, to forging paths in media and entrepreneurship, the panelists demonstrated what it means to honor the female spirit and exhibit courage.

Chevelle Young shared how her upbringing in Jamaica and her background in finance shaped her path into real estate leadership and entrepreneurship in Palm Beach County. She encouraged the girls to remain adaptable and embrace new opportunities, reminding them that growth often requires stepping outside their comfort zones.

Denise Torres spoke candidly about balancing motherhood, business ownership, and personal challenges–including mental health crises–and how resilience, faith, and emotional grounding helped her rebuild stronger than ever. Her message emphasized confidence, self-worth, and the power of perseverance.

Julie Khanna discussed building a career at the intersection of storytelling, public relations, and community impact. As Editor-in-Chief of Palm Beach County’s largest behavioral health magazine and a communications strategist for mission-driven organizations, she highlighted the importance of using one’s voice to create meaningful change.

“This panel embodied what Women’s History Month represents,” said Mindy Hanken, Executive Director of Pace Palm Beach. “Which is to celebrate the strength, courage, and impact of women who pave the way for the next generation by exposing our girls to diverse career paths and authentic stories of resilience with hopes for them to see what is possible for their own futures.”

Throughout the discussion, the speakers reflected on the evolving opportunities within Palm Beach County, noting growth in entrepreneurship, media, healthcare, real estate, and community-based leadership. They encouraged Pace girls to envision themselves as future leaders, innovators, and changemakers within their own community over the next five to ten years.

Following the panel, the girls joined the speakers for lunch, where conversations continued in a more intimate setting, allowing for mentorship, connection, and encouragement.
