Community Partners of South Florida (CPSFL) officially launched its 40th-anniversary year with an elegant cocktail reception on Thursday, January 29, 2026, hosted at Valley Bank in Palm Beach. The event served as a “kickoff” to a year-long celebration of the organization’s four decades of service, honoring a legacy built on the pillars of home, health, and hope.
The evening brought together long-time supporters, community leaders, and partners to reflect on CPSFL’s evolution as a community development organization. Guests enjoyed light bites and cocktails while hearing moving testimonials about the impact of the organization’s work in housing, mental health, and community.
During the program, CEO Kelly Powell expressed deep gratitude for the partnerships that have sustained the organization since its inception.
“For 40 years, CPSFL has stood alongside families during some of their most pivotal moments – helping them find stability, hope, and opportunity,” she said. “Being part of this organization for so much of its journey has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and this milestone is a testament to the power of community-driven solutions and the people who make them possible.”
Powell also took a moment to specifically recognize Brian Lynott and the Valley Bank team for their hospitality and steadfast commitment. Lynott, who joined the CPSFL board in 2016 and has served as Treasurer and Vice Chair, was lauded for his hands-on dedication. In addition to his leadership roles, Lynott is known as an “enthusiastic champion” of the CPSFL Toy Drive, personally driving across South Florida each holiday season to ensure every child and family served by the organization has gifts to open.

The event featured a powerful story from Denieice Williams, a former client and current Admissions Coordinator at the Center for Creative Education, whose journey of personal growth served as a living testament to the organization’s mission.
As a token of appreciation, guests departed with wildflower seeds—a symbol of the strength and resilience of the families CPSFL serves. “Wildflowers take root in unexpected places, adapt to their surroundings, and bloom beautifully—often against the odds,” Powell remarked. “We invite you to plant these seeds as a reminder that when we plant roots together, growth follows.”

The celebration continues this spring with a grand anniversary luncheon. CPSFL invites the community to join them for a commemorative afternoon featuring a silent auction and a special presentation on the organization’s future.
